Innate Attack Wall Thickness?
Innate Attack Wall Thickness: (floating and mass discussions too)
Is there a way to make a Wall (Innate Attack) thickness thinner than 1 meter? Or is that the minimum? You get 1x3 yards per yard of AoE correct? How can you break this down when you shape it? Is this a bunch of 1 yard cubes? Can I make these cubes thinner? Here is my wall: Force Wall (Innate Attack: Crush) 12d6 No Wounding, -50%; no die roll 2 points/level, +0%; Wall, +60%; Persistent , +40%; Area of Affect, 8 yards, +150%; Extended Duration 30x (5 Minutes), +60%; No Blunt Trauma, -20%; Cancellation, +10%. Re: Innate Attack Wall Thickness?
If, when you build the wall power, you want to set it at a lower thickness than the default, I think you can just do that. If it doesn't reduce the wall's HP or DR, that's basically just a feature. You're slightly more limited, in that someone with Penetrating Vision might be able to see through it more easily, or a character with Permeation could possibly slip through it faster, but those are such edge cases that I wouldn't make it a limitation. Reducing the HP or DR are probably worth a bit of a limitation, though.
If you can shape the wall on the fly, changing its thickness every time you use it, that's the Selective Area enhancement. |

So, this means after I create the wall (an attack) I can change its shape later as an attack action or free action? Since they each last 5 minutes, can I create multiple walls? Last edited by RicoZaid; 06-16-2017 at 11:40 AM. |

Re: Innate Attack Wall Thickness?
Thanks! Appreciate the replies, I've been really confused by trying to build this power. I've read 4 threads here on it so that was helpful.
Does the wall have weight or mass? Can it be moved? Does it float like a balloon? lol :) A wall at +60 has "...you can form it into any shape you choose." does this not include thickness? Wall: +30% You may only add this enhancement to an attack that has both Area Effect (p. 102) and Persistent (p. 107). For +60%, your wall works as above, but you can form it into any shape you choose. Last edited by RicoZaid; 06-16-2017 at 11:54 AM. |

Re: Innate Attack Wall Thickness?
If it's a wall of energy for a supers force field user, does it have no mass?
What if I cast it while flying? Does it fall? |

Re: Innate Attack Wall Thickness?
Cool.
Adding Drifting enhancement on a no mass wall casted in mid air... it would not fall right? Can it be moved by anyone or anything (like wind)? Trying to figure out floating force walls like Green Lantern :) Edit found Drifting +20% You may add this enhancement to any attack with Delay (above) or Persistent (p. 107). The initial attack roll places the effect. It then drifts from that point with the wind, water cur- rents, solar wind, etc., as appropriate. Use this for poison gas, ball lightning, floating mines, and so forth. Last edited by RicoZaid; 06-16-2017 at 12:56 PM. |
