Default The Melody of Oblivion - In Nomine Animé

Another one from robkelk's In Nomine Anime - Expanded Filmography and his wish list. The Melody of Oblivion

Both Heaven and Hell have extremely restrictive rules of engagement. Any kind of direct action is forbidden. Celestials in human vessels can only give counsel and support. Machine vessels are less restricted, but still must act under a human's direction.

Hell finds a workaround by cutting a deal with ethereals. They back the monsters of Greek mythology, who enter the corporeal plane with the Medusa's attunement that fatally transforms any human seeing their celestial form*. Except for humans with 6+ force potential, who gain a 6th force and symphonic awareness.

Awakened humans can become Melos Warriors (Soldiers). They get artifact bows and a celestial servant with both a bishōnen human vessel and a super-motorcycle vessel.

The monsters recruit Hellsworn Soldiers who are given a demon servant with a mecha vessel.

After a long war, the Monsters win and reimpose a 20th style society, with occasional teenagers quietly sacrificed to the monsters.

* Canonically ethereals do not have celestial forms, but they do here.

(Sorry, I am not good at cutting these down to a few sentences instead of a few paragraphs. Suggestions welcome.)

We don't have a limited page count to worry about. Don't sweat it.
