[Question]: Mortal Body Hits
I don't understand how to calculate mortal body hits for humans and/or Soldiers.
Human's don't have Vessels, but the Core Book says to treat them as if they do, with a human's vessel level being equal to their Corporeal Forces. So, the example of the Mummy in the Core Rule book (Matthew) is that he has 42 body hits. He has 3 Corporeal Forces and Hence a Vessel level of 3. Body = (3+3)x7. If that's so, then what's going on with Sorcerer's Impediments free adventure for the Sorcerer NPC Alexandre Darkmoon? His body hits are listed as 12. But with the formula above, wouldn't the NPC have just 2 body hits? He has Corporeal Forces of 1. So that'd give him a Vessel level of 1, right? And if it's multiplied by his strength (which is 1), that would give him just 2 body hits? (1+1) x1 = 2?

Re: [Question]: Mortal Body Hits
That sounds right. Humans are pretty flimsy. The Sorcerer's hits sounds like a typo. (I haven't read the adventure though).
Humans can buy Toughness to add to CorpForces for Body hits btw; that's in the Corporeal Player's Guide. |
