Causing Landslides
I've found a scenario where I don't know what rules to use besides just roll and shout.
The PCs have considerable offensive super powers, enough to cause substantial explosions. Definitely into the Decade scale. They are in an environment with fairly tall cliffs and have decided to try to cause a controlled landslide. What skills does this call for? What checks is it going to call for? If you wanted to do this with a higher resolution then roll and shout how would you go about it? |

Re: Causing Landslides
Engineer (Combat) or Explosives (Demolition). They do default between themselves, IIRC.

Probably also Engineer (Civil). Clearing ground for construction is part of the job.

Re: Causing Landslides
Explosives (demolition) probably wouldn’t apply as most of that skill is for using actual explosives. If you are providing the boom with your powers instead of c4/det cord/other chemical explosive, then it’s more a question of engineer, or maybe even geology and physics.

Re: Causing Landslides
A geologist or mining engineer would be the thing to tell you what the resting-angle of would be of types of earth and stone. The engineer would be able to direct you as to what forces and quantities are needed to get the mud sliding and how much to expect.
