Default The Disappearance that made RPGs Famous

The case of this then young man disappearing 40 years ago yesterday, and his death 39 years ago today, is what made RPGs famous. (That and Rona Jaffe's Mazes and Monsters inspired by his story, both the book and the movie that followed starring a little-known actor named Tom Hanks).

I grew up in the shadow of Michigan State University, and my father has taught Probability there since 1968. So, gaming as a middle-schooler in East Lansing, MI in the 1980s was... interesting, considering the local legends. Thanks for sharing.

I think about Egbert and the Satanic Panic that followed every time I hear someone trying to scapegoat video games for poor parenting.

Let's let this tangent die off, please. We don't need to get into present-day sociopolitics.
