Munchkin at GenCon

I have not seen any Munchkin tournament set up in the events catalog for GenCon 2017. Is Sjgames no longer going to be doing Munchkin tournaments?

We do not plan to have an official Munchkin tournament at Gen Con this year. We haven't made plans past that (we're doing well to have Gen Con more or less planned right now).

Thanks for the info, but can you tell me why? The Munchkin tournament is the one event I wait for each year and I have to say I'm really disappointed. Also, does this mean there will not be a Munchkin Tavern?

It was an internal marketing decision. I can't really get into it past that. We may bring the tournament back down the road, but I can't promise anything specific.
