Heh. I believe that whomever has that tatoo has a large-scale X-Wing as well...

Guilty as charged, I guess. Although frankly Star Wars fandom has moved from being geek to general acceptance decades ago, even regarding tattoos.

Although it is a user "problem" it is one that other pistols can't have and that this one invites. It's a natural impulse to release as soon as you don't need it any longer because you have to actively depress the bar. That, of course, is intentional, as it instantly renders the pistol safe. For example, you draw without pressing, you press while presenting the pistol, you stay pressed on target, you release as soon as you move, you press when you want to shoot again. And so on. I feel this makes it very safe, but you do have to train with it and it does click all the time. You'll only hear that in certain situations (quiet background), of course, but these things can mean life and death.

Cheers

Tattoos do tend to accumulate.

He's rebel scum, is what he is.

I had missed that article. I keep missing the "read more" buttons and I'm not sure why, because I always put those breaks in my blog too, and they're not particularly hard to miss.

Read through it, and this is the sort of stuff I love to see. In fact, my first thought upon reading the first half of the article was to look up where it showed up in movies, but Hans did that for me. Clever. And the detail on the gun itself, in GURPS, is exactly the sort of thing that makes me want to play GURPS in the first place, though I can rarely get that level of weapon-detail down-pat at my table, though I wish I could.

I can't figure out how to leave comments... I hit the 'like' button, but beyond that I'm stymied.

I also really enjoyed your love letter to the P7M8!

Scroll all the way to the bottom, where it says "Leave a Reply".

Recent posts include a detailed look at the real-world performance of the Remington Model 870 Police Magnum shotgun, with hints for use in GURPS.

I have also enrolled in the Melee Academy with a post called "Martial Arts: The Maltese Falcon".

Cheers

Is the 12ga version still the one true guage? Or how popular are 20s?

In this part of the world, absolutely. I haven't even seen a 20-gauge first hand (plenty of 16-gauge, though, which used to be the bore of choice over here).

Cheers

My 870 is a 20, it was really really pretty and the shop owner was willing to haggle

Of course it always is annoying going to buy ammo for it . . . it seems wrong smaller boxes of 20ga cost more than 12ga!
