Default Costs FP plus Hazards

Im surprised I havent run into this before, but has anyone ever cinsidered how to combjne Costs FP and Hazard so that the FP spent count toward that hazard? Frex, if I get dehydrated when using a fire ability or some such. How would you approach this? I know slapping enhancements on limitations doesnt usually play well with gurps. If there is a relevant thread or book (I dont recall this in power ups 3), let me know please.

Actually, I think slapping an enhancement on the limitation would be a great way to handle this. The only problem is how undervalued Costs FP is as a limitation (I prefer PK's pricing houserule). I haven't done it myself, but it's something I've considered, and would probably allow as a GM.

Just as a caveat, be wary of overusing these. Sparingly, they work fine, but the FP are usually much more difficult and time-consuming to recover. Missed Sleep is especially tricky ITR.

I used the idea here for my Feuyaner, having the FP cost of Very Fast Regeneration function as Starvation FP. I listed it there as a Backlash.

True. Itd just make for a nice tweak to some abilities. Im glad it looks legit.

If you don't use them already, you might try PK's Costs Fatigue house rules (#5 in that list) in combination with the Hazard options.

I routinely use Costs FP (Missed Sleep) as a sort of crypto-Limited Use modifier. I have an alchemy-as-powers system that uses it a lot - I find it an effective limit on the total amount of work a character can do in a day, without putting an arbitrary hard cap on the number of uses.

I've toyed with this before and like it as a house rule. Combined with Hazard, it actually becomes far more effective, and helps with your caveat, as well - you get a greater discount for the increased inconvenience.
