Default Best ratio for card types

Hey everyone, new player here!

So I picked up the base set, one expansion, and a few individual packs... Well I thought they were packs but the they are apparently predetermined cards in pack form.

Anyhow, I seem to have watered down the card pool as I have too few monster cards to everything else.

So, do you folks have a good ratio that you use for the card types as opposed to just throwing everything into a single card pool?

You shouldn't have watered down the monsters too much; we try to keep the ratios pretty close in core sets and expansions.

That said, if you want to make sure you get plenty of monsters, the following small expansions have LOTS of them: Dragons and Dragon's Trike, Undead, Puppies, Kittens, and the two Pathfinder small-format "Goblins!" expansions.

Thanks for the response!

I think my problem is that the only cards in using are the ones that came in the deluxe set along with "Chart with Both Hands" and "Go Up A Level", neither of which seem to have had many monsters. Because of that, i dumped a lot of non monsters into the card pool and don't know how to balance it out.

You shouldn't need Go Up a Level at all - that was an upgrade pack for people with earlier games, and if you're using Deluxe, you don't need it. Cheat With Both Hands is designed for people with multiple games, not just one set; that one WILL throw off the monster ratio significantly if you're not mixing at least two full games together.

That makes complete sense as to why the ratio is skewed. Thank you! Do you know where I can see the list of cards in each set so I can kinda peel them out?

Here is a page with links to rules documents and card lists for most of the Munchkin titles:

You can also use the icons at the bottom of each card to find the Cheat with Both Hands Cards, the Go Up a Level is harder because the icons match the cards they replace.
