Dungeon Fantasy World Setting
Are there any plans for an official or semi-official world setting for Dungeon Fantasy , ala Mystara /Greyhawk?

Nothing has been announced. Of course, nothing has been announced as of yet for any more follow-up content for the DFRPG beyond the already-published traps, weapons, and second adventure books. At a guess, they're waiting to see how this stuff does before they make further plans.

Setting books don't seem to do very for GURPS... so not sure we'll ever see one?

Re: Dungeon Fantasy World Setting
Which is too bad. Some of my favorite setting books of any game system were the old GURPs 3rd edition ones.
Personally, I’m going to be running my DFRPG game in Golarion, and will be converting the Curse of the Crimson throne AP to the DFRPG rules. |

Re: Dungeon Fantasy World Setting
Which settings are you referring to? While there were a few cool original settings (Technomancer) or fun reads (Fanatasy 2), most were either licensed or historical. Regardless, using a 3e setting for 4e isn't that difficult. They don't tend to be very crunchy.

DFRPG, however, is considerably less of a builder's kit than GURPS. It works far more easily right out of the box, without tweaking or selecting options or winnowing rule selections. The sort of player who would be interested in DFRPG is therefore potentially broader than for GURPS. Setting material might appeal to them. The real question, though, is whether DFRPG is really attracting those sorts of players. I have my doubts, but I have no data, just a sense of the room.
