Default Tactical Combat Movement Q

I'm not sure exactly which italicised sentance in the section applies. Does the bottom picture on p. 386 of B4e cost 3 movement points or 6 (the one that shows running forward in a circle)?

It costs 3, because it's all forward movement.

ehm, I know this is an old post...

Why sidestepping into a front hex ("c" on B387) would cost 2 movement points?

if it is mandatory to change face toward direction of travel while moving forward (costing me 1 MP)... i could move forward into "c" (1mp, facing to north-east) then i could Change Facing at the end of the movent (for free).

or not? =)

Ya, I think you’re correct. You might choose to pay the 2 MP to side step because you don’t want to change facing, e.g. because you’re worried an enemy took a Wait maneuver and you want to keep him in your front hexes as you move.
