Yes, in 2.5 there's a HRR, but CW5e made a number of revisions to weapons, and the Blast Cannon name should have been one of them. It's always sounded silly to me.

What would you call the CWC HRR when you brought it over? :)

Besides, a twin HRR trike doesn't sound as cool as a twin Blast Cannon trike.

(Edit: Sigh, someone else already mentioned the existing HRR. :(

LPTG - Low-Pressure Tank Gun, a la the Brits' 76mm gun on the Scorpion, Saladin, et al. That's what I always have viewed the HRR from Tanks as, anyway.

DSummer,

Granted, the name "Blast Cannon" sucks, but "Recoilless Rifles" technically aren't even real recoilless rifles, so it would not be much of a clarification.

No guarantee it would make it over to 5e.

Yes, but it meets the definition of a CW RR.

Is SJG continuing to publish CW5?

Not since 2002. They're still in stock at Warehouse 23, though.

DSumner,

Fair enough, I guess it's kind of nit-picking on my part!

Chaotic, I have question about your addition of:
Quote:
Junk Dropper - $50, 275 lbs., 1 space, 4 DP, 10 shots. Drops a standard 5e debris counter.
The Car Wars Compendium I have (2nd Edition 1998, SJ#7142) quotes a JD as loaded cost $50, 125lbs with 5 shots. 25lbs per shot. This in itself doesn't make a lot of sense, and I think its a typo by SJ. It should be 150lbs loaded weight, but perhaps that's besides the point.

But I'm curious why you put in your document a hypothetical 5e construction cost for a JD as 275 lbs, 1 space, 10 shots. In the spirit of the Compendium rules...a JD has only 5 shots. For a total of 10 shots it should be 2 spaces which includes an extra magazine that possibly costs also $50 for the mag. I know this is an academic discussion anyway, not to be taken too seriously since 5e construction rules were never even officially published.

I know you did a ton of hard work reverse-engineering 5e, so I don't want to assume you made an error... is there something I don't know about how you came up with these numbers?

For my construction pals, I'm considering using a 5e JD that is $50, 150lbs, 1 space, with 5 shots. An extra magazine costs $50 and 140lbs, 1 space and adds another 5 shots.
