Default Transferral Potion and who gains the treasures

Hi,

I'm confused and I really want to help me with this.

1) Let's say Player A has to defeat two monsters (one is a wandering). The monsters have 5 treasures to give (2 the first one and 3 the other). He is going to lose and he wants help. Then Player B (who is a Wizard) takes action and says "I want 4 treasures to help you". Player A agrees. Then he says to Player B: "Do the charm ability to monster with 3 treasures which is more difficult. And he charms it. Then Player A (he is very munchkin) plays "Transferral Potion" and he sets the combat against his helper. Player B can't win and he loses the combat (RIP Player B). So after that, who wins the treasures? Because technically Player B won the first monster but he was the helper.

2) Same situation but this time player C has the Transferral Potion" and plays it to himself and he wins. I know that player C gains the treasures from second monster. But who gains first's treasures?

The player whose turn it is always draws the Treasures. If he has a helper, that is done face up and he then distributes the Treasures as agreed upon. In this particular case it would be no different: he would draw the Treasure for the Monster, and since his agreement with his helper was for 4 Treasures, the helper would get all 3, assuming he didn't die. If the helper died, then I would say that all the Treasure from the Monster they defeated together should go to the player whose turn it was at the start of all the craziness.

So the active player gets the Treasure from Transferral Potion being used, no matter who used it or who the monster was sent to?

Not normally. The player who fights the Monster(s) after Transferral Potion is used gets all the rewards for the Monster(s) he defeats. This is an edge case where the player whose turn it is uses Transferral Potion to remove himself from combat. This question is probably a little too advanced for the 101 forum, actually. . .

Hmm...

Well, the majority case is good, for a moment there I'd thought we'd been misplaying. Should we e-mail directly to ask?

PLEASE no. We'd much rather use the forums for rule questions. (The same goes for Twitter, Facebook, and especially phone calls -- I'm not interrupting my work day to take a phone call with a rule question unless it's from one of our licensing partners.)

Oh I would never call directly unless I had a very serious concern. If it came down to that I'd just put rule interpretation to a vote.

MunchkinMan is just implying that the complex questions should be asked in the regular Munchkin forum, not this Munchkin101 one.

I wouldn't have mentioned phone calls if they hadn't happened. Some people . . .
