The Great Index

Has anyone compiled all of the index information from GURPS books into one Grand (searchable) Index?

Would that be something that could be put up online here?

Would it be useful to enough people to bother doing?

There are a couple of wikis, which come close, and GCA has page refs for every trait, but neither of those cover everything in all the books.

I've got a search engine for several of the book's indices.

https://www.letsgao.net/api/lookup/index/query

Replace the word query with the search text, and it gives back json.

Similar question: Is there a Great Index somewhere of all Pyramid articles? Ideally searchable by author, type, topic, etc.?

"children" means what in the returns?

I'll tout one of those wikis. Dealing with the indices properly would mean a lot of data mining.

Children is like if you have an index entry like

Code:

foo, 1; 2; 3
   bar, 2-3;

bar is a child of the foo index entry.
Or, looking at this entry:

"Shaft, The" is the parent, and is referenced on 5,6; it has Adventurers' Guild, beer, crimes, tolls, and Town Square as children.
Great Golems is a Cross-Reference.

You can search W23 by author and some keywords, though apparently not article titles.
