Munchkin Newbie
After receiving free Munchkin cards in my Warehouse 23 orders, I finally broke down and ordered "Munchkin". What should be the normal progression of expansions?

Re: Munchkin Newbie
I'd play the game by itself a couple of times, at least, so you get a feel for it. After that, you have choices:
* If you really like the base game and just want more cards to shuffle into the deck, Munchkin 2 - Unnatural Axe is a great expansion to start with, giving you 108 more cards (plus four blanks so you can create your own ideas!) to mix into the base game. The smaller expansions are also a great addition if the theme interests you and you want a bit of flavor, not a whole lot of new cards at once. After that, you can spread out a bit. The numbered expansions are more or less meant to go in order, but I know lots of people who skip around and "tune" their games by only adding some of the cards from each expansion. Munchkin 6 - Double Dungeons can be added at any time and gives you a whole new set of cards and rules to try, for instance. * On the other hand, you can decide to try a different Munchkin game entirely. If your group is into sci-fi, Star Munchkin is an obvious choice -- or Starfinder, if you're roleplayers and want to taste (or already play) the Starfinder game and setting from Paizo. People who are fans of Lovecraft will enjoy Munchkin Cthulhu. And so on. This year, Munchkin Apocalypse seems especially on point, but I don't recommend it for brand new players because it plays with the game rules and is somewhat harder as a result. Hope this is helpful!

Re: Munchkin Newbie
How would add a licensed set with Character counter cards in with other mixed matched sets?

Re: Munchkin Newbie
IMO, it wouldn't.
