Gummi Golem in combat
The Gummi Golem card states that a player "must fight using your Level only, with no magic items." A hireling is not an item so can a +2 Orc Hireling be used to help against the Gummi Golem?

Re: Gummi Golem in combat
I'm going out on a limb and saying "Yes, it's not a magic item".

Re: Gummi Golem in combat
It is an awkward way to phrase the card, because, "You must fight with your Level only" says one thing, and the following "qualifier" seems to allow for some kind of exception, but does so in an extremely unhelpful way, since its terms are undefined. What, exactly, is a "magic item" in game terms?

Re: Gummi Golem in combat
Official Clarification: Gummi Golem works exactly like Ghoulfiends. You cannot use ANY combat bonuses. This should get into the FAQ and errata.
