Our director underlined that by having Elwood be the one colorfully dressed character on a black-and-white set, surrounded by a cast in subdued shades. As the story evolved, splashes of color began appearing on the set and in the costumes. By the final curtain, the set had gone from severe to darned near psychedelic and almost everyone had some technicolor brilliance on their person.

Re: Game: Guess the character!
My first thought, too, but I'm not sure if the Incompetence fits. In the film version, Maverick pops out a hidden revolver so quickly that it seems like a magic trick. To be fair, though, the Maverick of TV did have a slower draw.

Re: Game: Guess the character!
Indeed! And Bret and Bart have essentially the same stats, so no point in quibbling over "which Maverick"
Quote:
Hmm, I somehow got it stuck in my head that it was 1/10 of starting wealth. No matter the level of sig gear, the Maverick boys have exactly $1000 of it: they each pin a $1000 bill into their suit vests for emergencies. Wasn't really sure if sig gear applied since it's cash, but it really is their signature item, mentioned in many episodes. I guess I could have added Compulsive Wandering from this thread: http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=134324 Further clues would have been Catchphrase "My pappy always said..." and spelling out the vague points. Re: Game: Guess the character!
I was thinking more of exaggurated traits from the TV show. The movie was based on Mel being the son of one of the brothers IIRC?
Sounds like I should post one: ST 10 DX 10ish IQ 14 HT 11 Perception 18 Animal Empathy Phobia (fnord) Reputation -1 (Police) SoD (fnord) Struggling Quirk: Flamboyant Quirk: Vulgar I may add skills later if needed... |
