I second the recommendations for Hammers Slammers (David Drake is a local author for me) and anything Bolo. I have a 6 or 7 volume short story collection, and a few novels by Keith Laumer and others. I like the idea of hoplessly noble cybertanks. :)
has anyone seen a new Bolo book in the last few years, maybe even a decade?

I wish. I would love to see more Bolo books.

There's Tom Kratman's _Big Boys Don't Cry_ -- but it does for the Boloverse what the Deadpool movies do for Marvel's _X-Men_ films....

There was Road to Damascus by Linda Evans and John Ringo

and

Old Soldiers by David Weber, but they were both 2005 or so.

I believe this is a complete list of the Bolo books.

And my previous post linked to the three Hammer's Slammers volumes that represent the entirety of work written for the series (to date), including a story exclusive to those books.

Yes that Bolo book list matches what I have on my shelf exactly.

Not trying to plug myself her, but if you check out my author page link, I have three novelettes that feature AI tanks. Not Ogre, but inspired by Ogre.

Likewise, hate to plug myself, but I do an ongoing graphic novel featuring a superheavy AI tank called Mike-One-Echo as a main character (see the signature below). It's been on hold for a few months while I've been sorting out some big life changes but that just makes it a good time to catch up.

Like Ashley, feel free to delete if this is inappropriate.

Last night at 9:45 seemed to be a good time to catch up. I think I got to the latest update around 12:30, which left me a bit bleary today.

That was really good - a lot of interesting character development when I wasn't hoping for more than action. It didn't go in a direction I expected at all. "Just one more page" until that "Next" button stopped working. Thanks!
