Big Indian swords
Hi ^^
I'm looking for the stats for the big Swords that Zodd from the manga Berserk use. After a quick research I don't find lots of informations. For me it's a form of big falchion ornate for ceremonial or show. Example : https://www.art-of-war.jp/data/art-o...328_7768c2.jpg https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20160822083446 http://aazealh.net/Divers/Kushan/Zodd.jpg https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20150222144928 Some suggestions? Re: Big Indian swords
I'd use oversized weapon rules from Low Tech and/or Dungeon Fantasy.

Re: Big Indian swords
I'd look at crafting it using Low-Tech Companion 2 myself, but those build on the rules from Low-Tech anyway.

Re: Big Indian swords
Doesn't the new Fantasy Tech book have anime giant weapons?

Re: Big Indian swords
I think you might be right. I have it, but haven't really looked through it that much.

Re: Big Indian swords
Zodd's sword is an oversized falchion. Gatsu/Gotz/Guts' swords are typically oversized greatswords. In both cases, the oversizing is more in terms of width than length, so you typically have an impact on damage but not Reach.
Gotz is probably SM+1 (roughly 7' tall), and all the weapons seem appropriately long for him, so you'd initially build them as SM+1 weapons. Note Zodd's sword isn't based on the GURPS Falchion, or even Large Falchion, but rather the Thrusting Greatsword with the Falchion modification (LTC2:12). Gotz sword when he first joins the Band of the Hawk is actually an SM+0 Thrusting Greatsword (he was only SM+0 back then) that has been widened, roughly doubling its weight (Reach is normal, damage, weight, and MinST as per SM+1). After the timeskip, his weapon is SM+1 and still disproportionately thick - Reach as per SM+1, weight etc as per SM+2. Zodd's sword is arguably even more disproportionate, even for a falchion, but SM+1 Reach, SM+2 otherwise is probably close enough. The sword Gotz uses briefly between the end of the war and his exit from the Band of the Hawks is probably just an SM+1 Thrusting Greatsword. The weapon when he returns is more like what he used before. The Dragonslayer may be SM+2 for Reach, although I'd probably still build it as SM+1 there, but is at least SM+3 if not SM+4 for weight. The rules from Fantasy Tech 2 are probably more appropriate than the ones from LTC2 for anime-inspired action (as the latter is a bit more concerned with realism), but I don't have that book yet.

Re: Big Indian swords
You definitely want Fantasy Tech 2. The Giant Sword section has what you want, specifically the Wide Sword and the Double Wide Sword. There's also a box on making other weapons ridiculously big (Unnatural Axes, and your general World of Warcraft weapons).
