Technically that was an extreme oligarchy not a dictatorship. Magistrates were replaceable, there was more then one at a time, and there was an established constitution.

A two party democracy, but a highly puritanical one that tightly restricts publication of material deemed to be injurious to the "public mental health". This leads among other things to the suppression of pornography, reporting of details about mass and serial killings, and the restriction of any kind of fiction which is not firmly based in the real world.

Augurarchy: Rule by divination. All laws are set in accordance with the interpretation of the celestial objects, pronouncements of intoxicated oracles, entrails of livestock or indeed people, etc. In a nonmagical world, this amounts to a subtype of theocracy.

I can actually imagine that used to as a method of ratification. It is harder to imagine the actual decisions taken that way. For one thing political decisions would be more complicated then any witchery tools and would have to be made in large part by direct communications rather then "nudges". The Dailai Lama though was I believe chosen at random from newborn children.

An aristocracy that instead of being hereditary is appointive. Each member is chosen by a given person who is rewarded for public service by the right to choose themself and three others for a title. The first holder is a count and the other three are lords/ladies.

The title is honorary. It does not come with a fief. It is named by a totemic motif rather then an estate. It does however come with a number of privileges including regalia, money allowance etc. On the death of the last holder the title becomes open for a new holder who cannot be related to any of the previous holders. Any countship achieved by any lord or lady in his own name must be in a different title.

Recommendations are made by the Senate to the Monarch who chooses a given number in a year.

The trick is that each member is allowed three other choices. They won't do anything(unless they have another job). The idea is a way to give someone a way of benefiting their kin pr other favorites without breaking the rules.

A culture so tight-knit that it can use ostracism as a punishment for crime. Nobody will interact socially with the criminal who has to be a homeless person living on garbage and if they continue to pose a problem they can killed with impunity.

I believe this is the second system posted in this thread that is kinda sorta what they did in Iceland during the Commonwealth.

There could be significant issues if the heir-apparent dies at an inappropriately young age.
That is actually not all that uncommon in a kin-group. Usually of course the deceased ancestor is symbolically ruling rather then people actually believing he speaks through the current chief. It does have it's advantages. So long as the mythology is not bothered to much by pesky historians(come to think of it, they still haven't managed to taint Arthur, probably because no one really knows much about him anyway), a dead king cannot abscond with Church funds, run off with Senator's wives, or kill a man therefore he has a lot of advantages.
