Default RPG Jutsu - GURPS Content Posts

I started a blog which will have information, adventure scenarios, tips and general content geared towards GURPS but will include general topics as well.

This site was spawned from a previous post I made asking the community what they would be most interested in reading if I took time to create it: here.

My first post is aimed at new GMs or those who are fearful of every GMing. Gamemaster Anxiety (or GMA) is a very real condition. Find out methods to combat it.

Chase – Gaming the Contest of Pursuit and Escape

Sometimes one or more individuals need to escape someone hot on their tails. Other times players need to catch a quarry whose taken flight.

My most recent post gives ideas and methods for gaming out the chase sequence to keep it fun and interesting for everyone involved.

Villain - Everything is My Delusion

Writing a story arc and adventure for your game is a daunting task for some. Creativity sparks in various ways and inspiration is a precious commodity.

In this article I attempt to alleviate some of the demand of story telling by giving a central point to focus upon when writing your story, the Villain and their Motivations.

By understanding the mindset of antagonists much of the effort in writing becomes a bit straight forward.

Hexcrawl - Getting There is Half the Fun

Today's article talks about the Hexcrawl and how it can apply to GURPS. It gives books that might be useful, concepts of rules a GM may want to follow and some adventure seeds that range from fantasy all the way to modern city explorers.

I talk about skills that might be useful as well as tools to help generate maps as well.

Radiation - The Math of Rads

Some people enjoy gaming in technological campaigns. But some individuals have come to me not understanding why GURPS uses PF for radiation shielding and not some fixed value like DR.

This post goes into a general understanding of radiation and relates it to GURPS for a bit more clarity on the subject.

Really like the way you integrated your alternate enchantment system into existing systems to make it easier to attempt to apply it to new games. I cross-posted it on my own blog.

Rules Lawyer - GMs are Self Destructive
