Munchkin Fu p.1 - Bad, Bad Feng Shui...

The Bad Feng Shui card states "You may... (exchange)ing any card you have in play with any card that anyone else has in play, as long as the cards are legal in their new positions."

The addition, "as long as the cards are legal in their new positions", has placed some confusion. Would Bad Feng Shui only apply to cards that are not "use once only" items or can I trade say, a headband (legally) for a Spirit Mirror, or a Monkey Spirit Guide?

I hate this card with a fiery passion, but I was told not to change it in the new printing.

Here is the key. You may swap ONE and only one of your cards with ONE and only one of your opponent's cards. Those cards must be legal in their new positions, without any alterations. So if you already have an Armor card in play, you cannot swap an in-use Headgear for your opponent's Armor, because you can't have two Armors in use at once. (Unless the cards say so, or one of them was already Cheated before the swap -- but let's not clutter things up yet.) But if you don't have a Class, you can trade a one-shot Item you are not using for your opponent's Class card. If he has "Usable Only By X" Items tied to that Class, it's still a legal play, because the rules allow for unequipping those Items after you lose your Class.

Im in a interesting situation. With the Bad Feng Shui i played it to give my brother my style since he had an extra style card in play for his super munchkin card after i play that and say im giving him the style he decides to discard it after i say what im doing. Can he discard it while my bad feng shui card is taking effect?

Once you've played your card, he has to allow you to complete the action.
