Default Bad Feng Shui Question

I know this is Andrew's "favourite" card....

Do Traps and Curses count as "in play" cards for the purposes of using Bad Feng Shui?

Can you use Bad Feng Shui to give someone else your "Trap! Change Sex" and if yes, will they be at -5 their next combat regardless of what state the card was in?

Why not? If it's a legal play, I'd allow it. Hell, we do it.

Nope. The rules are clear that Traps and Curses are not "in play" for rule purposes.

How about something like Annihilate?

If I got hit by Santa's Bad Stuff from Unnatural Axe and had his card as a reminder in front of me....could I use Annihilate to get rid of it?

So the "keep this as a reminder" is not a card? Just trying to be very clear here. We've been told in the past to keep cards about, by folks on the yahoo group list and I'm sure here, plus there are now cards that say that we need to keep this card, (with a card or as a reminder).

These are not legal targets?

Because I want to be as clear as I can be about this:

A Curse, Trap, or other card that says "keep this card in front of you as a reminder" is NOT in play for purposes of Annihilation, Bad Feng Shui, or anything else that targets cards in play.

A Curse, Trap, or other card that has a persistent, dispellable effect, such as Chicken on Your Head or Antimatter, IS in play for those purposes.

It's the difference between the card itself being the effect and the card just being a reminder of the effect. I freely concede that this is a very subtle difference.

Hence my use of several different types of examples.

Thank-you Andrew, it's as I thought :)

Thank you, it is a fine line, but I understand it.
