Re: Help Auditing these characters
Who is his Sense of Duty to?
Semi-Literate... ah, right, 3e (shoulda put that in the topic). Is this a setting that's Illiterate as a setting feature? What are the relative values ("IQ+1", "DX-1", etc) of his skills? "Sax" as a language... I'm assuming the Saxon language?

1 Shortsword (P/A) [DX-1] 13- 2 Holdout (M/A) [IQ] 12- 2 Lockpicking/TL3 (M/A) [IQ] 12- 2 Sleight of Hand (P/H) [DX-1] 13- & First Aid should be listed as First Aid/TL3. Assuming you're going for a historical setting, Angles spoke Saxon. It wasn't a separate language from Saxon, unless you mean the character speaks Old English (native) as well as Frankish and Old Saxon, English being Saxon spoken around the island of Great Britain and Old Saxon being spoken further east on the continent (with the related Old Frisian being spoken in the area in between in the north-west part of the continent [approximately, the Benelux countries]). |

Re: Help Auditing these characters
The setting is a fantasy one where the home kingdom is roughly equivalent to middle ages England, Sax is the language of Saxlund (Saxland) a major more than vaguely Germanic kingdom analog, Frank is the language of Frankland, Frankan, Ile De Frank and a few other vaguely French and Occitanian kingdoms on the continent. Frank is a major trade language and used by the Nobility as a language of Court & Culture, also their is a lot of Sax blood among the High Houses and many traders from the pseudo-germanic region are Saxlunders, if you wan to get pretentious you can call the Sax language Saxlundian, but it's spoken as a native language in more kingdoms than Saxlund in it's home region.
the Sense of Duty is to his friends, network of contacts and his Current Crew when he is working on a heist. Illiteracy is the Norm, but Semi-Literacy is common (and becoming more so but generations away from being the norm) among the Gentry, Nobility, Captains and better Crafts & Trades persons as well as anyone looking to be upwardly mobile, full Literacy is the province of Professionals, Scholars, Poets, Priests, Monks, and Administrators. Edit: I have whole language trees on scratch paper showing where what feeds in to each other, to try to explain without my badly scrawled visual aids makes my head hurt and would likely induce migraines in others. also thanks Curmudgeon, I was going on memory for some skills towards the end, just because I felt like I was back in the Zone where I could do characters without books or even sometimes 2B pencil & paper.
