Default GURPS Basic Set Update

I just got 2 emails to download updated versions of my basic set books.
Would anyone be able to tell me what has been changed, or where to find a list of the changes, please?

I'd also like to know why they are enormously larger than the older versions I currently have. It seems odd.

One change - no longer has ads for Pyramid.

There is a thread for EXACTLY this purpose, stickied at the top of the forum. Here's the relevant post.

Our PDF settings have evolved over the years, especially as downloading speeds, "baseline" file-viewing systems, and storage capacities have all improved. These files were exported with our most-recent settings, which improves quality somewhat (so folks can print at home and view on high-resolution screens without degradation in quality).

Given reception to recent PDFs, we don't think that 38 meg and 32 meg for 340-page and 244-page (respectively) full-color PDFs is unreasonable. (In comparison, the Discworld Roleplaying Game is 47 meg for a 411-page PDF.) But if something's breaking for a significant number of customers, I'd certainly want to know about it.

For what it's worth,

Hall of Judgment (2nd Edition): 128 pages, 31.4 MB
The Citadel at Nordvorn: 128 pages, 29.3 MB
Forest's End: 96 pages, 20.9 MB
Hand of Asgard: 16 pages, 7 MB
Nordlondr Folk: 16 pages, 5.5 MB

Yeah, hard drive space is cheap enough and for most bandwidth is as well. It surprised me that id dint instantly download but I certainly wasn't sweating the less than 2 minutes (I didn't time it, but it was fast enough to be trivial).
Readability and quality however ARE important to me.

That makes sense, and I see that the art has to be magnified considerably further before jaggies or compression artefacts are visible.

Yeah... That link is in the email too. It says it matches the reprinted books. So, I guess what I should be asking is, what changes, if any, were made in the books? eg any errata fixed, layout tidied...
As for file size, I didn't notice {edit: do look clearer but open slower) and I have slow broadband and was using my phone. Last year, I had a 30gb limit and never reached it. Your file size is all good in my books.

Yup, this is OK for core books.

I did feel that 140 meg was excessive for the recent PDF release of GURPS Supporting Cast, and decided I didn't want it enough for that.

I think the point — at least, it certainly is for me — is what exactly does "minor errata" mean? The new files say 7th Printing, while the most recent published errata is 5th Printing. Does "minor" mean "no changes since the 5th printing have any possible impact on the meaning of the text"? I for one have enough of the books memorized that I might not read any changes in-context for quite some time.
