It does. Using a suppressor avoids all chance of hearing loss; without one, you get temporary Hard of Hearing for 20-HT minutes then roll HT every second to recover. A critical failure on the first roll means you have acquired Hard of Hearing permanently. Protected Hearing, or the cut-down version Robust Hearing from Tactical Shooting, help against this.

Is there a rule in some book somewhere I can look at? I'm pretty sure we've been making **** up about this as it happened and it would be nice to see how the actual books handled it.
