Treasure Hunt Loaded Die/Die Reroll Play ?

When confronting the Troll- which is the only monster that adds a monster card + a die roll - can the Loaded Die Treasure Card or the Re-roll Die Treasure Card be used to change the die roll for the Troll? (As a creative use of the cards, we're considering making this usage a house rule.)

You can use cards that change a die roll when you roll a die for any reason, including the Troll. However, if you let someone ELSE roll the die for the Troll, you're stuck with the result. So don't do that.
