Default Munchkin Pawns

I saw that the Male pawns are out of print. Will they ever be back in print or are they permanently discontinued?

We have no plans to reprint any of our plastic pawns at this time. It's simply too expensive.

Since there are no plans to ever make munchkin pawns by the company, I have a few questions:

1. Are there high resolution scans available (or could you make some) of male and female munchkin pawns that are suitable for 3D printing?

2. Would there be any copyright suits filed if one made and sold pawns from these (or third party) scans?

I have no wish to break any laws, but I am completely dissatisfied with the cardboard pawns that came with my munchkin deluxe set. I imagine I am not alone in this . . . :)

We have no such scans.

This would be an infringement of our intellectual property. Don't do this.

That's frustrating!
You won't print any new pieces, but no one else can either?
That's kinda one-way of you. *pout*

and there are more ways to get pawns.

1. Male "Spyke" pawns are also included in
- Munchkin Quest
- german Version of Munchkin Deluxe

2. Female "Flower" pawns are included in the B&N exclusive version of Munchkin2

3. Zombie pawns are still available

3. Legend pawns are still available

or if you like Munchkin Apocalypse and John Kovalicīs DorkTower, check out the Dorktower Pawns for Zombicide (John Kovalic Guest Box) .... not exactly Munchkin but they fit in nicely :-)

No one can make it and sell it. Ain't the same as making for one's own use.

That seems unlikely - perhaps you just need to charge more? $7 for 6 figures might seem high for people who are used to cheap plastic pieces in traditional board games, but these are much nicer than that. They might not be quite at the level of Lego or D&D minis, but they're in the ballpark - and in that market $1.15 a piece is a steal. Personally I'd pay twice what you're asking (although $30+ for a set on eBay is getting a bit much).

And there are still some of these being shipped with Munchkin Quest (4 of the male chainsaw pawns), correct?

In the mean time, I'm planning to 3d print my own (be warned - it's challenging to get quality detail at that scale without a good printer and a lot of practice). I won't be cloning the Munchkin pawns - although if you offered a license to download the files for personal use I'd jump on that. But I've found a few alternatives that look promising, like a chainsaw wielding garden gnome or a chainsaw for Lego mini-figs, along with some other cool accessories like card holders. Those will have to do until you get around to reprinting the real thing...
