Helpful links for Kickstarter (and info about the $4.5K sheets)
A relatively current list of the $4.5K sheets, including sponsors, contents, and how to obtain, is in post 3 of this thread.
Helpful links for those who are new here (and those checking their pledge): The front page of the project lists all of the available extras, international shipping options for extras, and stretch goals. "Official" spokesmen include Steve Jackson (sj) and Fox Barrett (Fox) posting as 'Steve Jackson Games' and Philip Reed. (I'm just loud and in no way official.) Quick summary of pledge levels: * US backers have levels with games and levels with games + 1 swag package. Can add extras from main page. [The $150 swag package includes lapel pins, backer shirt, Ogre-sized bag, and another copy of the $75K stretch Targets Go Boom counter sheet (one is also in every Kickstarter game). See the $151 level.] * Canada/Australia(&NZ)/UK/Europe/Brazil/Singapore backers have levels with games. Can add extras from main page (but need to add shipping boxes for extras). * Other foreign will need to get games outside of Kickstarter (FLGS, Warehouse 23). * Warehouse 23 (SJG storefront) will have swag/extras for sale only to Kickstarter backers. Pledge anything to be eligible. * Any pledge of $23 or over will give access to the Car Wars design forum. If you don't like Ogre, get a Car Wars shirt. If you like Ogre, get Ogre stuff. * Any pledge of $150 or over will get a pocket-sized copy of Ogre, regardless of selected level. SJG has a comprehensive list of extras on their website: http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/products/ogre6e/extras.html The Project Home page has another list of extras (maybe more reliable): http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...igners-edition Update #26: Long descriptions of pledge levels: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...n/posts/222017 Bryan Turner has put together an unofficial but seemingly accurate pledge calculator: https://s3.amazonaws.com/fractalscape/ogre.html Walkthroughs and game videos: http://jeffro.wordpress.com/2012/04/...fense-sets-up/ http://boardgamegeek.com/videos/thing/5206/ogre http://boardgamegeek.com/videos/thing/5205/g-e-v Update #16: Game contents and counter list: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...n/posts/217219 Update #22: Rules draft: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...n/posts/221091 Flyer for retailers describing Ogre 6e: http://sjgames.com/general/retail/hts/1977-1.pdf "Pre-order" form for you to give to your FLGS if they are clueless: http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/products...-pre-order.pdf *** All retailer/distributor orders must be in to SJG by mid-May, or they may not be filled. Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
As of now (4/12), this is what I know of the nine $4.5K sponsored sheets. These sheets will only be available from the people who pledged at the $4.5K level, not from SJGames. (Latest updates in red.)
Commentary: Considering the current schedule for Ogre (landing in Austin in late July 2013 per Update #74, these sheets likely will not begin shipping until at least late August or early September (from each $4.5K sponsor separately). BoardGameGeek has a thread tracking similar information. Per Update #76 and the "Read Me First" sheet, SJG is putting together a webpage to organize information. Not yet live SJG page. [Unconfirmed rumors of ordering links on this page.] BoardGameGeek sheets Arranged by chaddyboy_2000 at BGG. Announcements at BGG forums. Will be sold through BGG's online store. No pre-orders. One sheet of Terrain: Last update (contents): July 31, 2012 (BGG). BGG listing for BGG Terrain Sheet. One sheet of 3-D Units: Last update (contents): October 25, 2012 (BGG). BGG listing for BGG 3-D Units Sheet. Barbarians at the Gate (Vatican Guard, Sons of Old Nassau, Anarchist Relief Front) Arranged by Drew (wolf90). Announcements at SJG forums. Pre-ordering hoped for in March 2013: March 03, 2013. One sheet of flat units, with some terrain: Last update (contents): January 22, 2013 (BGG). Samples: March 03, 2013. Terrain and Objectives Arranged by Tim Gordon (Knockman) at Tiffin Games. Announcements so far at SJG forums. Plans for website and pre-ordering, but nothing firm yet. Will be listed on SJG page with other $4.5K sheets. One sheet of terrain, with some flat units (GEV-MCP): "designed to deliberately encourage scenario and campaign design" Last update (detailed contents): April 12, 2013. Nightfall Campaign Arranged by Gary McBride at Fire Mountain Games (gdmcbride). Announcements on mailing list and website. Pre-order through website (Paypal). Mailing list contact: ogre^firemountaingames^com. Website: http://firemountaingames.com/ogre/ Two sheets with mainly Ogres and Scenario booklet (16 pages): Last public update (complete preview): March 05, 2013 Earlier update (package cover): February 12, 2013. Uncommon Ogres Arranged by Walt Freitag (Walt Freitag). Announcements on mailing list. Pre-order anticipated in late August or early September. Mailing list contact: uncommonogres^verizon^net. One sheet of 3-D Ogres: Marks III and V in interesting colors and designs. Some of Walt's Ogres will apparently coordinate with wolf90's units (Vatican guard and tiger stripe). Last update (pre-order thoughts): August 4, 2012. Prior update (shipping thoughts): July 31, 2012. Initial Summary: May 12, 2012. "Pretty Fencers" Arranged by ACD Distribution (http://www.acdd.com/). No announcements yet. Distribution and availability are unknown (TBA). One sheet of 3-D Fencers, buildings, etc.: Blue & Yellow paint scheme by Alvin Helms (FireHorse). Last update (summary contents): August 2, 2012. Per Steve Jackson, these are "pretty Fencers". Nihon Units Arranged by Roy Kubicek (Thirdpower). Announcements through mailing list and website. Pre-orders through website (Paypal or mail). Mailing list contact: thirdpower^hotmail^com. Website: daysofourtrailers.blogspot.com/p/ogre-6e-nihon.html One flat sheet of Nihon units (Combine template): Last update (pre-sales): July 31, 2012. Other info One of the sheets has a Mark III scheme by FireHorse; Steve Jackson might have called them "awesome", but Firehorse thinks they are only "pretty cool". By my count, the nine $4.5K sheets include: * 2 sheets of (mostly) terrain overlays (BGG, Knockman). * 2-3 sheets of flat units (wolf90, Thirdpower, maybe FMG). * 4-5 sheets of 3-D units and buildings (BGG, Walt Freitag, ACD Distribution, at least one of FMG's two sheets). Potential confusion: see comment by Daniel Jew on BGG on how these nine sheets have each been replaced by 1-2 sheets in the current design. Edit history: BGG (7/31). PrettyFencers (8/1). ACD Distribution (8/2). Knockman terrain (8/3). Reformat;Knockman&Wolf90 (8/4). Knockman (8/14). Wolf90 (10/22). FMG&BGG (10/25). Wolf90 (12/22,1/22). SJG rumor (1/21). Wolf90&FMG&SJG (2/12). FMG(2/20). Wolf90&FMG&SJG&Commentary (3/05). Knockman (4/12). Last edited by KevinR; 04-12-2013 at 12:38 PM. Reason: Who runs into the character limit on reasons? |

Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
Thank you very much for collating this information.
Has anyone heard on whether it's possible to coordinate shipping? I'd like one of each product, but ordering separately from each individual looks like it will add anywhere from 25% to more than 70% to the product cost. (And that's just for domestic shipping!) |

Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
One minor correction: The "awesome"/"pretty cool" comments weren't about the ACD Fencers. They were about a Mark III from one of the other sponsor's sheets (which you already have listed, but I'm not sure whether I have the Security Clearance to reveal which one).
Come to think of it though, it's probably not very hard to figure out which one… |

Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
Knockman has gone public with his sheet. I didn't want to say anything to steal his thunder.
Here is his announcement... http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread...61#post1417561 He has the fourth sheet... Personally, I'm excited to see what he's got planned! D. |

Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
Thanks Wolf for helping out, and no worries on stealing thunder - it's a typical English Summer here and we have plenty to go round at the moment!
OK - a brief snapshot on the counters we have planned for our sheet. Firstly, there will be GEV-MCPs counters (flats). And a few additional vehicles too we hope. But mainly we have a selection of single hex, double hex and multi-hex terrain overlays to provide some different specific buildings and features, to use as special objectives and to encourage scenario play. And we intend to back that up with scenarios too. The design concept has always been to reward anyone who buys two or more of the sheets so, some of these counters will fit together to provide some sizeable facilities for the mapboard - for example, several counters could be linked together to form a decent port/dockyard with tank/storage facilities for placing along a coastline. Plus, there'll be a few quirky buildings too for some fun. So we're still finalising design and sorting out our own set-up, and hope to have more news for everyone soon.

Re: Helpful links for Kickstarter
Forgive me if this is the wrong place, but does anyone have any idea what the final dimensions of the maps are?
Actually, will they be 23"x12" or smaller when folded or disassembled? I really want to be able to put all the Ogre stuff in one Keep (provided that they actually produce them). http://grumpyowlgamery.com/products/the-keep/ |
