The halfling pushes up his strange goggles. "Sonny, I'll getcha any kind of map you want. But Hell don't work that way. It changes all the time, one day ain't the same as the next. Map'd be useless. Only the landmarks," he waves at the monolith, "stay the same. Same general place in relation to each other, I mean. But some days they might be hunnerds of miles apart, then the next day you can see one from the other."

"I'll throw in some food rations if you care to give me at least something written that could help us finding our way around here. Whaddya say, buddy?"

He takes one ration, dry meat and cheese wrapped in linen and nudges it towards Tipsy in order so he can see the ration and catch it once Elmaeth throws it to him. (we're talking throwing from 2 yards away, should I roll this?)

"There's more where this came from." said Elmath while holding the wine bottle in his left hand.

Tipsy pulls out his sword and starts tracing it in the sand.

Elmaeth makes a face as if he saw a pink elephant. You know the face.

"Are you kidding me? Alright, so, what's what? No wine 'till you explain me what is this... you... drew. Sorta."

"This one's where we are," he says, pointing to the squiggle in the bottom left. He waves the sword at some more of it. "This here is the Panopticon of Pain. Up here's the caves. And this... I forget what that's called. Wait. Chasm of Fourteen Torments. That's it. Up there at the top, that's, uh, the river or something."

OOC: Tipsy just cannot catch a break on those Cartography rolls.

Elmaeth lets a long, disappointed sigh and hands Tipsy the bottle of wine.

"Well, it's something."

He looks at the others and asks:

"So, where do we go first? I haven't got the slightest clue where to start."

A floating picture frame appears in the air. "Elmaeth?" his mother says. "I got this dossier a few minutes ago. I've just finished reading it. There's some information here about this Michelle person you're supposed to be meeting up with."


Tipsy looks up at the floating picture. "What the Hells is that? Michelle... you talkin' about, what was her name... Michelle Green? Gray? Somethin' like that?"


"That's right," Elmaeth's mother says. "What do you know about her?"


"Not much," Tipsy says. "Only that she ain't got nothin' worth tradin' fer." His brother taps him on the shoulder and points. "Oh," Tipsy says. "And I know whereabout she might be. Maybe. Where she was, anyway." He points at a place on his little map on the ground.

Erion say, "Well, that seems like a good place to start. Assuming we can decipher this map."

Tipsy kicks the map. Sand goes flyin'. "Forget the map. I know where that stuff is. You just gotta walk over there," he points his finger, "or over there," pointing somewhere else, "or over there," pointing to a different place again.

"It just so happens I'm headin' to The Caves next. Just needed to stash my stuff here. I don't mind backtrackin' to the Panopticon. Maybe their trail's there. Worth lookin' to see if they died yet. Maybe I can get their stuff."

He stands up and walks over to the cart. He straps himself into a little harness there at the front. "Follow me, I guess," he says. "Won't hurt to have comp'ny. Specially if the rats attack. They can get pretty bad this close to the festival. They ain't had no sacrifices in fifty days."

Scurra's eyes light up

"Road trip!"

She skips to the cart and hops in the back, skittering over it to squeeze in next to Tipsy.

"Can you tell us about the festival?"
