Stats for the FAMAS?
Just a quick check if I'm going blind or if there really are no stats for the FAMAS in any of the publications as yet?
EDIT: For 4th Edition that is.

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
Nope. But 5.56 weapons are all alike in stats, you can derive them easily.
The only thing I've found in the search is a 9-year-old post here on the forums, from Max Schreck, in which he stats it like this: Quote:

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
How did this not end up in High-Tech? Was it overlooked, or merged into a description of another gun?

Finite number of pages, near infinite number of guns? :)

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
Thanks Hans.
Well, I thought the FAMAS was in High-Tech. Every time I read the chapter or looked at the table for rifles, I was quite sure the FAMAS was in there somewhere. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I was wrong the whole time...

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
Most weapons use the same stats of other guns, frex, the FAMAS is just a bullpup 5.56 rifle.

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
And in comparison to 'assault rifle, 5.56mm' (B279), the differences are:
+300 yards 1/2d range (did HT change 1/2d ranges?) +0.2 lb to weight -0.1 lb to ammo weight 25 round clip, instead of 30. RoF changed from (15). Really, it's hard to come up with a reason to care about those differences. |

Re: Stats for the FAMAS
I have a feeling it's to match the relative short range of the M16 and M16A1 which had a thin barrel and was prone to inaccuracy at long ranges. There's a big jump in 1/2 damage between the M16A1 and M16A2.
