Re: Transhuman Space/Mage: the Ascension Crossover
The "Sabbat" won't survive the destruction of the Tremere Antitibu by Tremere Himself. The organization always was meant to be disposable by the Lasombra and Tzimice and once the Lasombra realize that the Tzimice have been corrupted by the Vicissitude being there will be a war that will tear what's left of the outer Sabbat apart. Of course, the Sabbat was also always a way to protect the Black Hand and the Antedeluvians hiding in the Underworld. Once the Tremere antitribu are gone and the Assamite viziers are the primary blood wizards of the Kindred, the Tal'me'rah will reveal themselves. The True Brujah will make unlife very difficult for the Ventrue and Toreador elders - maybe those Clans won't even survive the war? They're certainly not prepared for the attacks that will come - Temporis, spirit magic, Euthanatos allies, Revenants, and so on.
If all those things hadn't happened, though, the Sabbat (not the "hit Childer over the head with a shovel and bury them" wasteful Sabbat meant only to **** off the Camarilla) but the actual Sabbat organization has been ascendant for hundreds of years. Where do you think democracy comes from? The Founding Fathers of the American Revolution were heavily influenced by the Black Hand. It certainly wasn't the Ventrue or even the idealist Brujah, though the latter would love to claim the Revolution as a victory against Mithras (the Prince of London). No, the Idealists always eventually side with the Elders because rocking the boat too much upsets the plan. In any case, the "Sabbat" if it exists after the True Hand and the civil war between the Lasombra/free Tzimice probably is just Clan Panders absorbing all the antitribu of all Clans remaining. Joseph Panders probably is the most important Sabbat Kindred remaining and he's not about to throw away his precious adopted Childer, at least not without a good reason. Quote:

Good stuff DocRailgun. I no longer have any of my VtM books, but I read most of the game books. Your stuff is good and well grounded.

Re: Transhuman Space/Mage: the Ascension Crossover
First off the Technocratic Union is splitting up and the Vampires our off balance. That means many powerful figures are lashing out. Avoiding the attacks of the powerful would be one option. Much of the world that was closed is now open, seeking lost artifacts and knowledge in the hidden places of the world is now more of an option than ever before.
In space, Horizon Realms that survived the isolation of the Avatar Storm (in cannon none did, but here they could) need to reconnect with humanity. This is often easier in space, and yet trickier too. Tracing memes and learning who is pulling which strings is also important in this setting. Yes its The Jetsons on the surface, scratch the surface and it's still the World of Darkness. Conspiracy and secrets are hidden in this candy colored world.
