As for Deflect Missile, but the subject may deflect additional missile attacks that turn, one extra missile for every two the success roll was made by [ex.: Mage casts Imp. DM on himself with effective skill of 16. His success roll is 11, making the roll by 5. He can deflect up to 3 missiles that turn].

Cost: 2
Prerequisite: Deflect Missile

I dunno how balanced that would actually be, but it should be in the ballpark of fairness.
Hmmm.....

For that ability I think 2 might be a bit cheap. How about 2 + 1 per deflected missle after the first?

So the better you roll, the more it costs?? Don't forget that, as a blocking spell, its cost can't be reduced.

Considering that Blink would avoid all the missiles and it only costs 2 to cast, a modified Deflect Missile that turned all missiles from one ranged attack being priced at a casting cost of 2 isn't cheap.

Yeah, when you put it that way it it doesnt sound right.

Maybe a flat 4 fp?

Its expensive, but blocking 3+ missles with one spell should be.

Yeah, but blink has a higher pre-req count, the body sense roll, and the possibility of serious consequences on critfail.

Blink also moves you 3 yards away, which can limit the possible chances for continued melee attacks (and continued ranged attacks as any character that was aiming at the moved target has now just wasted that time). Blink does more for 2 energy and thus it has some penalties associated with it.
