Blindness & Dodge
If you are accustomed to Blindness you have -6 and -10 when you suddenly go blind.
How does this affect Dodge? In GCA I can see that you have a -4 to Dodge, but this is when you are accustomed to being blind. How severe is the Dodge penalty when you go suddenly blind and a reference to book and page (if there is one)? |

Re: Blindness & Dodge
"Can't see attacker" gives a -4 to Dodge. See "Visibility" on B394. The -6 / -10 apply to attacks.
Parry and Block are allowed, also at -4, with a -2 Hearing roll. Apparently you don't subtract the attack modifier from the skill to recalculate a blind parry. |

Re: Blindness & Dodge
Tnx, especially from my players whom I wanted to penalize Dodge with -6 if they suddenly went blind.

Re: Blindness & Dodge
Dodge can easily be major get out of Dodge full body movements, and not just small coordinated shifts. Those are mostly parries.

Re: Blindness & Dodge
Do however take note of the rules for surprise attacks. You just outright get no defense if you can't tell when/where the attack is coming from.
