I'm working on an Improvement Through Study tool at the moment and looking for thoughts. I have some great suggestions from a board member (Christopher Rice) but am looking for more input before I begin the final draft.

Take a look at the image below, and let me know what you think!

Also, if you have any suggestions about current or future tools please let me know!

Nice update.

A suggestion: There could be a front page that has (large) buttons to the different tools that is the page you end up on when you just go to http://www.gurpscalculator.com/ and the logo+gurps calculator logo in upper left corner of the pages could take you back to there.

A question: are you sure that "9.19740096 yd/s" for In-Air Speed is enough digits to show? Maybe change the calculation to show a few dozen more? :p

I had considered doing something like this originally but I thought the Dice Roller would probably be a more useful first page. I'm still on the fence about which to do. Thoughts?

The drop down menus are infinitely more friendly to mouse-wielders, chunky buttons are pretty exclusively for touch.

Would you be removing the menus in non-mobile browsers? If the menu-strip is still there for non-mobile browsing, I don't see it as really impeding things much.

Do you get any metrics on which page is most visited? It might be worth changing to a "landing page" for three months and tracking which utility is most visited. Right now you'll get near 100% visits of the dice page because that's the landing zone, so it wouldn't be accurate.

Good thought, big buttons wouldn't look so hot on desktop.

I like the idea of having a neutral landing page and then tracking which pages get the most hits. After the dice roller it's Collisions right now. The pages you need to log in to see (such as the Tracker) get the least number of it hits, probably because I don't promote them very well. Maybe the landing page should be a marketing page that explains what the calculator does with common links on it.

Release 2.0.1 is up. Improvement Through Study tool, new theme, and bug fixes!

And yes Weby, I truncate decimals to 2 places. :)

A note on the big buttons: You already use them on the individual pages as the roll/submit buttons.
