Do the battlefields rules eliminate the designer edition rules?

What got changed, or is it only for units in battlefields that got added to explain?

The Ogre rulebook in Battlefields is the most up to date and complete rule set of Ogre. It is a superset of the ODE and O6e rulebooks, including errata from those editions and all currently published units (except unarmored "militia" infantry, which AFAIK remain exclusive to Ogre Miniatures).

If I remember right, the Battle Box and Battlefields rulebooks are essentially identical.
