Contact Agent's continued application to Cyclic
B103 cites "Contact" (presumably referring to Contact Agent") and Follow-Up as continuing to apply the continued damage which occurs at set intervals.
The "for instance" examples refers to continuing to ignore DR. This explains how beneficial penetration modifiers continue to work, but what about non-beneficial ones? Contact Agent as an enhancement (also on B103) has a similar benefit of ignoring DR for AE attacks Contact Agent as a non-AE limitation (B111) on the other hand is stopped by any DR (except Tough Skin, as explained elsewhere) So how would that work if you had no DR and were initially subject to Cyclic Contact damage, but then gained DR? Would you stop taking damage? It seems like that should be the case unless I'm missing some text... and if you wanted the effect of "DR impedes initial deliver but not cyclic damage once delivered" you should instead define the cyclic attack as a Followup to a Contact Agent delivery? |

Re: Contact Agent's continued application to Cyclic
It depends on the type of Cyclic. If it is a burning attack, covering the location with armor might prevent cyclic from continuing. If it is a fatigue or toxic attack, it is likely either a disease or poison, so it is already in the system of the target, and covering the location will likely do nothing to prevent cyclic from continuing.

Which conceptually is weird if you can somehow put on a glove and get that glove underneath the agent after it's touched the skin |
