Dice Labels Fading
Many kinds of gaming dice are prone to the paint in the numbers fading away, even though it is recessed. Why is that? Why does the paint on some kinds of dice last? Are there ways of recognizing polyhedrals that won't need to be repainted after a few years?
Anecdotally, it feels like plain old black and white numbers last longest, and its often gold-coloured numbers and pips which flake away.
