Placing 1 shot Items on the table?
So I was browsing forums trying to learn the way of the munchkin when I read someone mention about laying 1 shot items down on the table.
Frankly I had never though of doing this and would be a great way to keep from donating them to other players. I had always though those cards HAD to be kept in hand. My question is just double checking that you are allowed to keep them on the table so they aren't clogging up hand space. And can I do the same thing for cards like "your shoes untied" that isn't an Item? What about monster enhancers? Sorry if its too many questions in one group, just trying to get the hang of it here. Thanks for running a great forums, and having such a fun game. |

So One-shot Items can be played to the table even if you aren't going to utilize their text right away (they don't even have to be played sideways, since they are still available for use). You can use their one-shot ability whenever applicable whether they are in your hand or on the table in front of you, then they are discarded. If a one-shot card is NOT an Item, though, you must play it from your hand. This is also true of Monster Enhancers. Last edited by Mister Ed; 01-13-2014 at 03:14 PM. |

Just to confirm, officially, that Mister Ed is correct, and to clarify where it comes from, the rules state that you can use one-shot Items directly from your hand or from your carried Items:
