Stay conscious.
When a character is negative their health do they still have to make a roll to stay conscious every round, or only the continuing death checks as they take more damage?
Thanks for any help. |

Re: Stay conscious.
They need to make a roll to stay conscious every round. Exception: If you choose Do Nothing on your turn, and do not attempt any defense rolls, you can remain conscious without rolling.

Re: Stay conscious.
Health rolls to remain conscious and Health rolls to avoid death are two separate things...
As long as the character has 0 or less Hit Points, he risks falling unconscious every turn... Unless he dies (in which case the player doesn't anymore have to bother with consciousness, unconsciousness... or anything else). |

Re: Stay conscious.
Note that "Do Nothing" still allows the Free Actions (starts page 363) of talking, dropping things, falling over, and maintaining mental abilities such as spells and psionics. Vigorous conversation and working on really difficult mental problems may be Concentrate, and forbidden.
