The 300 point DF Knight I briefly ran. This is what happens if you give me 300 points and don't specify a need for non-combat capabilities.

Tarjan Telnar, DF Knight

GURPS 101: Death Checks

How much HT do you need to not die in GURPS, once you factor in Mortal Wounds?

Putting some perspective on HT levels.

Good article. What would a limitation on Luck (Death Checks Only) be? -80%? You do lose a LOT of utility on Luck by that restriction.

Good question.

-80% would be all of 3 points a level, and that's extremely effective for 3 points. Especially considering that buying a failure into a success would cost you 2 character points, having the ability to keep doing this for 3 and getting two shots at it seems cheap for 3 points.

Kromm might have a word or two on this, but a quick Forum search didn't turn up a ruling.

It's like watching a trainwreck - I can't tear my eyes away from all the death and destruction you cause.

Technically, I just set up the trains and let the players crash them.

The amusing this is the drowning deaths - I mean, I couldn't have forced the players to overburden themselves and then jump in the water. But a random roll here, a decision to "just use the teleporter we don't really understand instead of walking to the surface!" and voila, razor fish food!

Good times.

Today is an exam day, not a gaming day, so I have no time to noodle on about Felltower or run a game. But I did get one of my NPCs down on paper:

Lean Jean d'Archer

He didn't make it through his first trip, but if you need a DF15-legal archer, there is one right there.
