DxM cards

hey all,
i've read through the rules 3 times and there's one thing i'm a bit fuzzy on.
i was just curious if DxM cards such as "Loaded dice" are aloud to be played onto the table as an item. from the directions i'm inferring that they are stuck in your hand as special cards and only DxM cards such as race and class get put on the table.

Loaded Die IS an item (300gp), so yes. Reloaded die, is not an item, though, so I think it must stay in your hand until played.

edit: Scratch that. I was thinking the card game, not MQ, when I posted it.

In Munchkin Quest the Loaded Die is not an Item.

As far as I can remember there are no items in the DxM deck, only in the Treasures.

You cannot play DxM cards that are not race or class related on the table, unless they specifically tell you to do so.
