Default Race/Class enhancers and death

Race and class enhancers (Dark, High, Elder, Master, Elite, and Legendary) are attached to race/class cards, and are lost when the base card is lost, but do you keep them when you die, since you keep the race/class they attach to? It's not specified anywhere, and I've run across conflicting opinions.

I'll have to dig a little bit, but my initial reaction is that the enhancers are kept just like the Class or Race is. If someone has a device post from Munchkin 8 or Munchkin Game Changers and you have a link for it, post a reply -- otherwise, please be patient and I'll take a look the next time I can look at the rules, which may be after Thanksgiving.

1) there is this FAQ that imply it

Q. When can I play (or discard) Master, Dark, or High cards?
A. They can be played (or discarded) at at any time you would play (or discard) a Class or Race card.

https://munchkin.game/gameplay/faq/

2) super-munchkin and half-breed are essentialy class/race enanchers and they are not discarded with death (sorry this is not a link but i wanted to share this consideration anyway)
