Dead and Dead Broke
A monster was played from my hand. I played Dead - Monster Does Not Fight along with it, killing it and collecting its treasure. However, someone played Dead Broke (after it was killed). I argued that since it was already dead, and the combat phase was ended, Dead Broke does not apply.

Re: Dead and Dead Broke
Playing Dead Broke falls within the reasonable amount of time clause in the rules for resolving combat. Other players could use Wandering Monster cards to add Monsters to the combat, too. Also, the wording of Dead is rather different than other cards that instantly defeat a Monster, telling you not to discard the Monster, but simply stating that particular Monster is already dead and can't be fought.

Re: Dead and Dead Broke
Thanks for clarifying. That makes a lot of sense!
