Tomahawk and Nicknames
At the beginning of a recent game of The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin, a member of my group asked if his character could be named Hawk during the game. We’d never played that particular set before and didn’t understand what he was asking. He then played the Tomahawk and insisted he should get the extra points. This is pretty clearly against the intent of the card, but I’d like an official ruling so it’s not just my word against his.
Also, now one of the other players has started occasionally referring to him as “Hawk,” as a running gag, but still uses the guy’s real name more often than not. Nobody else calls him that. In order to count as a valid nickname, it has to be in common use, right? Unless nicknames don’t count at all. That said, if he’s somehow allowed to get the extra points, I’m calling him “hamhock” from now on. |

Re: Tomahawk and Nicknames
If he doesn't go by the name in everyday life, he doesn't get the bonus.
