Re: So, how great is Kromm anyway?
Thank you.

Certainly, 2016 was costly. Between illness and travel to see my sick father, I missed about 20 workdays, and I do not get paid sick days in my position. My travel and my wife's was costly. And paying the extra bills for broken stuff was no party, either. But I have a savings account, and that's part of why I have one. The real fun will be when I take time off after my father passes away, as I'll have to see to my mother's affairs and I am prone to depression and will require time off. But again, I have savings. All told, there are people out there who have less and who are having worse years. I imagine there are people on these forums who fit that description. So I'd feel a little dishonest if I stuck my hand out. But thanks for asking!

I hope the trend reverses and things get better for you, Sean. I've had a bad six months as well, so I know how it can become a vicious cycle.

Hi Sean,
I really sorry and, honestly, I wish you strength to endure those adversities. One would like to be helpful in some way. Warm regards

I didn't realize that the GM screen has books associated with me. (I admittedly didn't read very closely when I considered backing the Kickstarter project - I didn't need much persuasion.)
Cool. :)

Sorry to hear about you troubles. I lost my father two years ago. Even when you think you are emotionally prepared, you aren't. Plan to give yourself some time to process everything after the whirlwind settles down.

Re: So, how great is Kromm anyway?
I am very sorry to hear about your troubles. Heart disease in a loved one is tough, not least because of the uncertainty, and terminal cancer is extremely draining for everyone involved. I hope you'll still be able to spend time with your father that is not completely dominated by the illness. I think I speak for most of us GURPS players here, when I say nobody who knows will miss the GURPS updates or groan if the DF RPG is a couple of months later. You have made a lot of joyful moments for the GURPS crowd possible, last year. The least we can do is give you our heartfelt best wishes.
And thanks for giving us the heads-up - something you weren't obliged to. Personally, I was starting to worry a bit and now I know what is going on.
