I wasn't going to name a particular game (because (a) there's more than one such game in the back catalog, and (b) I promised the mods I wouldn't comment too much on the lack of support), but ... yeah. Elizabeth McCoy is the Line Editor you'd want there.

Let's see some of the older stuff revamped. Illuminati, for instance.

I'm SUPER interested in hearing about the process, foibles and triumphs of creating works like Discworld and Mars Attacks for GURPS.
  • How close to the "rules as written" will these GURPS rules be in these books?
  • What rules are ignored?
  • What rules have been modified (if any)?
  • Do the IP holders/creators have input over the rules parts? Do they review them?
  • Are the games play-tested/demoed with the IP holders/creators? How was that experience?
  • With the passing of Sir Terry Pratchett, I think we would all love to hear about any experiences working on the book.

Great questions so far from trechriron!

Buzzardo, Turhan’s, Anders, Ghostdancer, Ronnke, and DouglasCole we heard you! Will you join us Thursday?

I’ll be watching from the sidelines and letting Sean and Steven take over. We will still have prizes for good questions! :)

I plan to, I've been looking forward to this. I just need to make sure the timing is Australia friendly, otherwise I'll watch it non live.

Hey all! Best question for Sean and Steven on this thread, before the show starts, gets a printed copy of GURPS Mysteries.

GURPS has seen substantial supplements covering big topics lightly discussed in the Basic Set, if at all: mass combat, vehicle construction, dynamics of solar systems and planetary environments, and so on. What are three areas where GURPS could still stand to break new ground like that?

I've a few more:
  • Whenever I go to a new gameshop, the first thing I do is look for GURPS books. They are not there usually. How can we create more "visibility" for GURPS in general? I know that's more marketing than your areas(s), but what would you as the Line Editor/Project Manager suggest people to do? In several MIB demos in the last six months I've managed to get around 17 people not only playing GURPS, but they've been purchasing books from w23.
  • What's next for the various genre "lines"? As others have brought up, Action is finally get some love (yay!), but what about Dungeon Fantasy or Monster Hunters? Any possibilities for further lines? If so, what might they be about.
  • Can you describe in some detail the process it takes for a supplement/issue of Pyramid to go from idea to finished product?

Can we get Sean answering rules question in interpretative dance?

Certainly not. That's absurd.

He'll answer them in Argentine tango.
