This is not the time between planets, but the time between habitable planets, and this choice will have a major effect:

options:

Months to closest :
Weeks to closest :
Days to closest :
24 hours to several Planets:
6 hours to several Planets:
1 hour to several Planets:

I vote for Days to closest and 6 hours to several planets
I vote Days To Closest and Weeks To Closest.
Basically, days for real-close stars, up to a month for a moderate-long voyage (e.g. London-New York equivalent in galactic civilisation scale).

I think you need to be more explicit about the details of the various drives. Even in GURPS: Space, it isn't clear what practical difference there is between a jump drive, a probability drive, and a tachyon drive, or space highways from a wormhole drive from a keyhole drive from a wormhole network.

As for my vote, I'd go with Hyperdrive (3), Jump Drive (2), and Wormhole Drive (1).

As for the number of options, I'd allow two or three.

My vote is for Equal to others (2), and minor power (1), though, scale matters. Humanity could de a dominant regional power without having much influence beyond their local neighborhood.

Note that Hypersail is just a specific kind of hyperspace drive so voting for it is in fact like voting for Hyperspace twice

The general categories are:

1. Hyperspace. Your ship travels through another universe, taking perceptible time to do so and possibly facing hazards unique to that other universe.

2. Jump. Your ship moves from point to point in this universe without travelling through the space between and generally without taking any time beyond the time it takes to get to the points you leave and arrive from, or to charge up the drive.

3. Warp. Your ship drives from place, somehow making the effective distance in front of it shorter but not spending a significant amount time out of this universe.

I vote days and weeks. People should be able to get to nearby planets in a few days (or maybe faster, if they're willing to pay for express service), but theere should still be worlds that take several weeks to get to.

3 for Hyper drive (encounters possible in hyperspace option)

2 for Warp (virtue of simplicity)

1 for rare natural wormholes that cover unusually long distances (but not ones that it is feasible to blockade).

Use wormholes to support either Hyper _or_ Warp but don't use Hyper and Warp together.

My Vote is Hyperdrive (3) but I like Vickis comments ala Babylon 5.
Make it something that requires a gate to jump to but big ships can carry their own gate.
Beacons are good too.
Jump Drive (2)
Space highways (1) But there nees to be an alterante or maybe difference between highways and roads or paths. This could look a lot like the Hyperdrive option with Beacons (natural and artificial speeding travel up on certain routes.

2 votes each, one at 2 points, and one at 1.

Options:

Humanity owns the stars(lens man, road not taken):
Humanity is dominant in space (star wars):
Humanity is the first among several competitive powers:
Humanity is equal to many others (star trek, old man's war)
Humanity is a minor or junior power (Mass effect):
Humanity is a set of upstarts (early SG, Uplift universe):
Humanity is irrelevant: (UFO sightings, Hitchhiker universe):

I vote minor power (2) and equal to others (1)
2 for one of many. 1 for Humans only (but not Humans own the stars) Your taking Lensman for an example of that is wrong anyway.

I do not really understand your distiction between closest and several but trip times in days are best for fast-paced space adventure. Times in weeks and months lead PCs to start studying Skills between planets.

wait, I thought in lensman you had "the gods" who manipulated things, but the humans themselves ran everything and where under a different impression.

We'll vote on god-like aliens and ancients later, this is who runs things when its purely political.

And if you want to suggest other franchises that fit options, feel free. I have read a lot of obscure stuff but don't know the well known stuff too well.
