In Nomine for Fate Core
It's been a long time since I've visited the boards...and a VERY long time since I've played In Nomine. In an effort to get locals interested in playing, I've been working on a generic Angel/Demon war setting for Fate Core (I backed the Kickstarter), and I've also been tinkering with an In Nomine conversion. I know there's another In Nomine hack for Fate out there, but this one focuses less on direct conversion and more on keeping the essence of the setting intact.
I don't know if anyone is interested in playing In Nomine using a different system, but I figured I'd pass along the link just in case. The first post, which has the generic Angel/Demon setting, can be found here: http://warofsouls7.blogspot.com/2013...rst-draft.html You should be able to get to the second post (which has my bare-bones In Nomine conversion rules) from the first post. |

I've never played FATE, but this looks interesting. Do Malakim still get the ability to not Fall and never suffer Trauma? (Maybe combine the two and call it Extra: Can't Keep A Good Man Down.)

I haven't decided how to handle Trauma, but that's only part of the problem with losing a Vessel. You still need to get back to Earth, and unless you took an Extra to have a spare, part of the challenge in returning is convincing your Superior to give you another. |

Re: In Nomine for Fate Core
Interestingly enough (to me, as least), I posted a sort-of reversal to the IN mailing list back in January:
I remember some discussion years ago about fantasy races and their divine/infernal patron. Fantasy would work; but I think modern paranormal would work, too. Take for example, the Dresden Files. Evocation magic is Coporeal Songs. Thaumaturgy is Sorcery; some addition skills/rituals necessary. The Nevernever is the Ethereal and all its denizens. The various vampires can be handled by various Discords. You'll need to decide if the "known" supernatural landscape is accurate or if the default IN cosmology applies. Voila; instant campaign setting. (NB: I know about the DFRPG based on Fate, I own the PDFs/books, and it's brilliant. But I know the IN rules better from a theory standpoint.) |
