Maybe there is a side deck with "Disaster" cards, including seven "seals", and certain things trigger a draw from said deck (perhaps losing combat to certain monsters, or falling prey to certain curses), and the game ends if all seven seals get drawn- netting a win for the player with the highest level at the time.

Or everyone loses! I think I'd enjoy that a little better. In which case, if you were much lower in level than everyone else, you might want to trigger it to grief the entire table. :)
